About "The Briksdalsbreen Glacier in Norway"

About the artwork

The Briksdalsbreen glacier in Norway was formed about 2,500 years ago, during the Little Ice Age. During the 20th century, the glacier has both increased and decreased, but after the year 2000, the decline was rapid.

Lake Briksdalsvatn is located at the foot of the glacier. In the 20th century, the glacier passed here for hundreds of meters, but it seems that the glacier has not been in the water for years.

It is special to see the glacier up close. Even though you don't see the ice moving continuously, you can see that changes have taken place in it when you look at the ice block stacking, ripples and texture. It is an artful and impressive piece of nature where lots of things happens. Water flows below, carrying pieces of rock. The meltwater from the glacier fills a lake and becomes a river that flows into the lake Oldevatnet.

You can walk to the Briksdalsbreen via a nice path, but keep in mind that it is a very touristic place.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
