Iturrino not only gave shape and colour to the women's bodies, but also to their emotions. The light and atmosphere that surround the figures, as well as the movement and vibration of the tobacco-coloured bodies, are rejoices of joy and the scent of flesh painted in the open air. This group of women, moving and conforming to the rhythm and intensity of the light, undresses before our eyes. The girls dropped their long, transparent dresses, leaving perfect surfaces to show bodies made with a density of colours and plastic models.
By undressing we see almost the entire naked body of the right woman, from thighs, to hips, belly, torso and breasts. The girl on her left is naked for a moment while the front model has only part of the belly and tits exposed.
Francisco Iturrino González (Santander, Spain, September 9, 1864 - Cagnes-sur-Mer, June 20, 1924) was a Spanish painter. He worked in an Impressionist and Fauvist style.
