About the artwork

Photo of the signal cottage on Terschelling. Located among the dunes is this cute little house. The cottage was built on the foundations of bunkers from the Second World War.

A striking image in Terschelling. Cycling through the dunes next to Terschelling-West, it quickly catches the eye. The photo was taken in the direction of Vlieland. Overlooking the dunes. During sunset with a beautiful sky.

The cottage served for a time as a monitoring station during the Cold War, to keep an eye on submarines. After that, it housed radio amateurs for a while. Then it stood empty for a while, and unfortunately it also fell into disrepair. The cottage is owned by the Forestry Commission. Fortunately, it was decided to renovate it, and turned into a hotel room, bookable through VVV Terschelling. Then you do have a beautiful view, over the dunes, to the north side, the Green Beach, and the North Sea. Truly a unique spot. And also a lovely image is this photo to look at. The sun is setting behind the house. The vastness of nature is clearly visible in this photo. Grateful to have been able to enjoy this view. Bring Terschelling and the Terschelling feeling into your home with this photo!

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
