The Mirador de Samara on Tenerife is a popular starting point for hikes, offering visitors spectacular views of the volcanic landscape of El Teide National Park. Situated at an altitude of around 1800 metres, hikers can admire the small Sámara volcano as well as the majestic Teide and Pico Viejo from here. The route is categorised as easy and leads through a beautiful Canarian pine forest that has colonised the fertile volcanic soil. The hike is also known for its diverse flora and fauna, including kestrels and Canary lizards.
