About ‘Talking heads’ by Saskia Hoks

As human beings we are capable of numerous facial expressions by the use of several dozens of muscles. It enables us to show all kinds of emotions to someone else, hoping that the other will understand us and react adequately. When you look sad, I am inclined to comfort you. When I laugh I invite you to join me in laughing. Communicating without using words. The two spectacular heads created by the Hungarian light artist Viktor Vicsek also show countless emotions and react to each other. Unlike people these Talking Heads don?t do it by means of muscles, but through all the possibibilities of light. Per head some 4000 individually controlable LEDs provide different facial expressions in various colours. As they are connected by Wi-Fi, they react to each other, but also to the interference of visitors. They conduct conversations by means of light. Only when a new boat passes, these talks are cut short, whereupon a new conversation between the heads commences. What is it exactly they?re saying to each other and to the visitors? A word is enough to the wise, as the saying goes.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
