Inspired by a novel by Ayan Rand,
Ayn Rand, born Али́са Зино́вьевна Розенба́ум (Alisa Zinovievna Rosenbaum), (St Petersburg, 2 February 1905 - New York, 6 March 1982) was an American novelist and philosopher. She was the founder of Objectivism, a philosophical movement. She grew up in Russia and left for the United States in 1926, where she assumed American citizenship not much later.
In her novels, she sought to create the image of man as a heroic being. She gained most fame with her novels The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, also her last novel after which she plunged into further elaborating her philosophy in a number of non-fiction works.
