About ‘Swimming is cancelled today’ by Olliventure

We stepped through the rusty gate of the old barracks complex in Wünsdorf, and even from a distance we could see the swimming pool hall - an empty concrete colossus, dilapidated, yet somehow majestic. Inside, it smelled of damp plaster, mould and stale air that mixed with every step we took in the halls. The sun shone through broken windows, drawing streaks of light on the smooth tiles, which had long since lost the splashes of water.

We climbed onto the stand, the steps creaking beneath us, and looked down at the pool - empty, dark, mysterious. I felt this strange mix of nostalgia and a thirst for adventure, a shudder that was fascinating at the same time. Every corner seemed to be full of memories that you could touch if you looked closely enough.

At the exit, I turned round again. This abandoned swimming pool is no ordinary place.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
