About ‘Svínafellsjökull’ by Sander Peters

In 2014, I took a photography trip to Iceland with a friend. We had no experience whatsoever with landscape photography, but this inspiring environment seemed fantastic to us to indulge in it for a week. One of the many highlights for me was the Svínafelljökull. This is a glacial tongue and it's quite a hike to get there, but it's well worth it. Of course, having to go through a metre-thick layer of snow to do so was no problem either. I was very impressed by the ancient blue ice. So impressed, in fact, that I initially put my camera away for 15 minutes and sat down in the snow to take in these unreal surroundings. Rarely have I seen something so beautiful, but eventually I grab my camera to capture this amazing landscape.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
