The low sun paints warm colours over the Hopfensee lake as if it were an artist transforming the sky and the water into a living painting. On the shore is a lonely wooden footbridge, of which I took a photo - a real treasure from my last summer evening at the lake.
The wood of the jetty glows in the last rays of the setting sun. The annual rings of the wood tell stories of decades past, of countless sunsets witnessed here. Every plank breathes the history of the Hopfensee.
The sky above the footbridge is a work of art in itself. Colours from orange to pink blend gently, making the sky look like a watercolour sky. Clouds become soft brushstrokes adorning the evening sky. The sun, a golden disc, slowly takes its leave behind the Alps, and its last rays dance on the water.
At the end of the footbridge, the warm colours of the sky are reflected in the lake, as if nature were admiring its own painting. It is a peaceful moment when the world stands still for a moment.
My homemade photo captures this magical moment for eternity, a little piece of summer happiness that I will always carry with me. It reminds me how beautiful the simple things in life can be and how important it is to cherish such precious moments.
