About ‘Sunset Dolomites’ by Andreas Muth-Hegener

This sunset shot was taken on a climbing tour in the Dolomites. I was able to capture this silhouette with fantastically strong colours on a distant mountain ridge with the 500 telephoto lens.

Original created by Andreas Muth-Hegener.

I have enjoyed taking photographs since I was a child, and my father laid the foundation for this. He gave me a completely analogue camera, a Practica with interchangeable lenses for 35mm film. This sparked the fascination that I still pursue today. My cameras and lenses accompany me on every journey, even to the most remote regions. My focus is almost always on nature.
