A beautiful sunrise in late April on the Sallandse Heuvelrug is the subject of this photo. Captured just as the sun is casting its first rays of light through the foliage of a solitary tree. The mist still lies like a thin veil over the moorland, creating an almost magical glow. A roe deer, subtly visible on the right of the picture, stands still in the morning light, like a sign of calm in the early morning.
What makes this work special are precisely these small elements: the soft gold of the sunlight and the almost invisible presence of the roe deer.
The inspiration for this shot came from countless early walks in which silence and patience are rewarded with moments of pure contact with nature. This photograph is an honest reflection of how beauty reveals itself in silence.
The mood I wanted to capture is one of wonder and connection. The work brings a warm, calm feeling into the home and fits perfectly into interiors of nature-lovers or peace-seekers.
An image that not only graces, but also brings to a halt in the hustle and bustle of society.
