Throughout his successful career, the artist has been characterised by the high degree of multidisciplinary professionalism in his creative research.

After travelling to Japan, he was fascinated by the Japanese culture. He has produced a sophisticated series of artworks in which he extensively explores the spirituality and phenomenology of the Land of the Rising Sun. The series, characterised by the use of different media, is a reprise of his time in Japan and displays a refined language built on particular devices reminiscent of Zen calligraphy, the delicate chormatism of Japanese woodcuts and the suspended atmospheres typical of the Kanō school.
