Sunrise in the Kalahari desert, Namibia.
The Kalahari is a semi-desert in southern Africa. It is an area of approximately 900,000 km². It is not really a desert, because there is much more rain than in a real desert. There are lions, hyenas, different kinds of antelopes, meerkats and baboons.
