The Vressels forest lies east of the core Nijnsel (North Brabant, the Netherlands) and is about 250 hectares . In the middle of the marshes area of the forest is the Vressels Hazen Wells .
To prevent the situation Hazen Wells dry up in the forest , removing competing vegetation around the pools .
The area around the marshes is grazed by Scottish Highlanders . The area has a rich bird life , including the yellowhammer , the kingfisher and the buzzard , goshawk and black woodpecker .
