Zaanse Schans is a residential and artisan quarter of 1850, where artisans still practice their daily work in the traditional way. The small village is located near Zaandijk, about 20 km north of Amsterdam. The picture shows the cheese factory shortly after the sun has risen behind the fog and haze.
