Sunflower Seeds for Lunch? is an ink drawing coloured with watercolours in landscape format by the artist Karen Kaspar. The drawing in black ink shows a cute little blue tit sitting on a faded sunflower and looking up. Above her hangs a second large faded sunflower blossom with ripe sunflower seeds. The little bird seems to be choosing a few seeds for breakfast or lunch. I coloured the drawing with loose brush strokes and paint splashes using watercolours in yellow, green, blue and brown.
The little blue tits often visit my garden and are a welcome inspiration for new paintings. 42
