This photo, taken in early May 2025 on the Eyserbosweg road in southern Limburg, captures a moment of peace and beauty in the Limburg hilly landscape. On the right is a chestnut tree in full bloom, like a living symbol of spring. The sun has just risen, its first rays gliding across the grass and setting the landscape in a soft, golden light. In the distance, the fields and the small village centre of Eys slowly awaken from the night.
Special are the subtle elements that may not be immediately noticeable: the morning mist settling low between the trees, the glint of dew on the blades of grass, and the shadow of the forest's edge behind me adding to the slope like a veil. Every detail contributes to the understated power of this image.
The inspiration for this work comes from my love of South Limburg: the tranquillity, the light, the rhythm of the seasons. This is not just a landscape, but a place that breathes and invites stillness.
The atmosphere is bright, hopeful and tender. With this work, I want the viewer to pause for a moment. Take a breath. Experience the simplicity of a spring morning. With very soft blossom music in the distance.
In an interior, this image brings in space, light and nature. It suits people who love landscapes with a soul - and those who recognise themselves in the gentle power of the south.
