About "Sunday Afternoon"

About the artwork

The light here doesn’t just fall—it filters, stretches, and bends. What makes this frame compelling is how the outside world becomes a suggestion rather than a fact. You can sense a window, maybe a rooftop, but the curtain turns everything into a layered memory. It’s translucent enough to tease the scene behind it, but opaque enough to withhold the full story. That sun flare near the center acts almost like a heartbeat, a pulse of warmth within the shadow.

The composition plays with vertical rhythm: stripes of brightness, folds of fabric, and one glowing focal point that gently offsets the symmetry. There’s very little detail, but plenty of atmosphere. A soft gold tone warms the shadows and adds depth without overpowering the image. It’s not about sharpness or clarity—it’s about mood.

I took this right after waking up, when the sun had just started pressing through the blinds, and the room still felt half-asleep.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
