The Louberg in the Jeker valley is once again covered in field and vineyards. Sugar beet, potatoes in blossom and especially vines, a ridge long. This southern slope is bathed in warm summer light. Down in the valley flows the Jeker. Combined with the terroir of fine loess and the million-year-old sand-limestone terraces (marl), it provides the perfect conditions for sophisticated viticulture. The Apostelhoeve erected in oak, marl stone covered with slate roof tiles stands out proudly against the sparkling blue velvet sky. It produces perhaps one of the Netherlands' finest wines, which can also be bought at the farm. Go there, it is well worth the steep climb along the red fence from the Cannerweg. Combined with a visit to the neighbouring city of Maastricht and certainly the nearby Château Neercanne and the Flemish village of Kanne, this is a perfect day to enjoy. Definitely want to have this spontaneously painted artwork as a premium print from Werk aan de Muur / Art Heroes on your wall as a lasting memory. Have fun!
