I took this vivid macro photo outside in nature, where I managed to capture a curious bumblebee at very close range. One eye is razor-sharp in the image, which makes you really come face to face with this little insect. I created the soft pink background myself with a simple card. The light subtly reflects on it, creating a warm, summery glow on the bumblebee's head.
I love making the small details in nature visible - things you might normally pass by. The combination of colour, simplicity and sharpness makes this image special to me, and I hope it evokes that wonder in you too.
