About the artwork

De Pier in Scheveningen, a neighbourhood of The Hague, is one of the most famous attractions on the Dutch coast. This unique pier stretches across the North Sea and offers a mixture of relaxation, entertainment and gastronomy.

Originally opened in 1959, De Pier has been remodelled into a modern leisure complex after several renovations. It is divided into several levels, with restaurants, cafés and shops perched directly above the sea. The food boulevard with international dishes and the rooftop terraces, which offer sweeping views over the water and the beach, are particularly popular.

For the more adventurous, there are highlights such as the bungee jump tower, which towers 60 metres above the North Sea, or a zipline with which you can cross the sea at high speed. You can also enjoy the atmosphere and listen to the waves on a leisurely stroll along the promenade.

In the immediate vicinity you will find the wide sandy beach of Scheveningen and the famous Ferris wheel on the pier, which offers a spectacular view of the coastal landscape and the skyline of The Hague.

De Pier is a place that combines culture, relaxation and adventure - an ideal destination for families, couples or solo travellers. Especially at sunset, the bridge becomes a stage for an impressive play of colours on the horizon.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
