About ‘Struisvogel’ by Martine Moens

Struisvogelboerderij in Sluis bestaat sinds 1997. In die periode is er op de boerderij veel veranderd.

Aanvankelijk waren er alleen struisvogels, van een bezoekerscentrum was toen nog geen sprake. Er moest ook nog veel geleerd worden. In Nederland en België was er nog lang niet alle kennis over deze intrigerende dieren.

Omdat er erg veel vraag kwam van scholen en omwonenden om de struisvogels te mogen bekijken opende struisvogelboerderij Monnikenwerve in 1998 haar deuren voor groepen, scholen en toeristen. Het bleek een schot in de roos te zijn, immers, struisvogels zie je niet iedere dag.
Struisvogels in alle soorten en maten. Van kuikens tot en met de grote broedvogels, van de broedmachine en de eieren tot het leer en het vlees, alles is te zien en verkrijgbaar.

Toeristen krijgen een rondleiding en kunnen daarna wat drinken in de tearoom terwijl men uitkijkt over de ruime wei van de broedvogels. In het winkeltje vindt men documentatie en men kan er leer gemaakt van struisvogelhuid kopen.

Vanzelfsprekend ontbreekt het struisvogelvlees niet, dit vlees is rood van kleur, cholesterolarm en bovendien erg lekker.
De Struisvogelboerderij bevindt zich langs de Hogeweg 1 in SLUIS (provincie zeeland) Deze boerderij is ook zeker een bezoekje waard!

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
