A woman’s face. Her a-line bob cut hairstyle fanning out into bold black brushstrokes, emphasising her relaxed and somewhat nonchalant expression.
This is the first artwork I created after a major loss in my life. As I am a firm believer of turning negatives into positives, I decided to take a chance and submit the piece to compete in the 10th FIDA (Fashion Illustration and Digital Arts) Awards. You can perhaps imagine how pleased I was to see it actually make the long list of these - in the fashion industry - highly esteemed awards. An outcome that certainly lifted my spirits.
Her name? Inez. She could easily have been a character in an Amodovar film. But for now, her only aim is to compliment your wall. Forever immortalised in “Strokes of Inez”.
