About the artwork

The picture shows a woman walking down a quiet street, her heavy shopping slung over her shoulders. The street has a typical, almost iconic character often seen in street photography: narrow pavements, a mix of old and modern houses, and bicycles leaning against gables or parked along the wall everywhere. The woman, dressed in simple, everyday clothes, does not seem to be in a hurry. She has a calm look, despite the burden she carries. Her gaze is forward, perhaps towards her home, where she will arrive shortly to unload the groceries.

The English flag hanging from one of the houses adds an interesting detail to the picture. It is a subtle clue to the local culture and zeitgeist, but it does not seem to be clamouring for attention. It is more of a silent witness to life in the street.

The scene exudes simplicity, but also a certain timelessness. The combination of the busy bikes, the woman with her shopping bags, and the mundane nature of the street gives it a documentary feel. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
