Street Art Mona Lisa - Urban Style in colour - Digital collage The Mona Lisa, an ancient painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Who doesn't know the work? After all, the original painting hangs in the prestigious Louvre and attracts 20,000 tourists every day. It is mainly the mysterious gaze of the Mona Lisa that attracts people. She seems to follow you everywhere. And that smile, is so minimal yet present. She is not exuberantly happy, but subdued and content. Besides, for many, the sfumato technique that Leonardo da Vinci used is a wonderful element in the Mona Lisa. Because you can paint with oil paint wet in wet, you can make the light and dark transitions so subtle that it is barely visible where something begins and ends. The Mona Lisa is probably the portrait of Lisa Gherardini or in full Lisa di Antonmaria Gherardini di Montagliari. She was the third wife of Francesco del Giocondo, who probably commissioned the painting by Leonardo Da Vinci. In this colourful street art variation, the Mona Lisa is placed in a layered digital composition, as if she were part of a layered poster composition. In the close-up, interesting details shimmer through, such as a woman in the upper left with long blonde locks on a boat. She stands there naked and powerful. She gives the Mona Lisa a real power woman look. Also, if you look closely, you can see a pop art work by Roy Liechtenstein shining through, as part of an urban painting on a building. This work also exists in a black and white version.
