I visited the Starven (a pretty nice fen in the heathland Strabrechtse Heide) a few times over the last few months, as the winter brought the long awaited and needed rain. Sadly the sunset never really met my expectations (and the forecast) but going there was nice nevertheless and I am pretty happy with the results. This photo was taken on the east side of the fen looking north as the western sky contained too many airplane trails to my liking. The southwestern wind combined with a shutterspeed of 15 seconds created nice diagonal lines in the sky that mirror the diagonal line of the cut green grass in the fen.
