Breakwater in Zoutelande during a stormy day on the coast of Zeeland - I took this photo recently in Zoutelande during a stormy day. The sea was rough and turbulent due to the strong winds blowing inland. The sky was filled with a nice thick cloud that was darkly coloured because it was filled with rainwater. I sat on the boulders in front of the breakwater and chose a low vantage point to capture how the rough seawater waves filled the breakwater. Timing was important in this shot, I wanted to capture the waves in the foreground as well as the run-out sea foam and I succeeded. Quite a job because it was storming so hard that it was difficult to stabilise the camera in the loose hand and keep it still while taking this shot. When all the elements came together, I printed with this photo as a result. A memory of a beautiful stormy day on the coast of Zeeland and a nice wild image for on the wall !
