About ‘Storm Maiden’ by Steve Henderson

A storm is on its way. The mist is gathering, the clouds are billowing, and a light pattering of rain brushes across the young woman's face. The breeze picks up and swirls about her, grasping at the cloth she holds and trying to snatch it from her hands.
But she's not worried, not about the billowing wind, nor about getting wet -- maybe even drenched -- as the rain moves in, because she knows that this is a mild storm, one that will blow itself out, despite its bluster. It is one of many storms that comes and goes through the seasons, through the year.
The artwork, Storm Maiden, encourages us to stand tall and look the upcoming storm in the face, to assess what it truly is before we turn and flee at the slightest provocation of inclement weather. Because there are always storms, always threats that billow and bluster, and so many times they blow themselves out.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
