After a beautiful summer day, the wind weakened and the predicted clouds fortunately stayed out. Lovely conditions to end the day peacefully at the mudflats on Wieringen (Stroe, North Holland).
It was slowly ebbing, slowly revealing the stones on the mudflats' banks, as well as most of the row of wooden posts. All alone on location, I enjoyed the peace and serenity of this location and conditions, surrounded only by the sound of various water birds.
In this composition, I chose to place some more objects in the foreground as well, to create depth in the photo. By using a slow shutter speed, the water comes to a complete rest, and by using a polarisation filter, the bottom of the Wadden Sea is clearly visible in the foreground.
This photo exudes peace and calm, and fits perfectly in the bedroom.
