This photo shows a stone bumblebee (Bombus lapidarius) flying away from an aquilegia flower.
The green background adds calmness to the photo and keeps the attention on the bumblebee and the aquilegia.
My camera's shutter speed was at 1/1000 so the movement of the wings is vivid and not static.
Bumblebees are beautiful and useful little creatures and, in my opinion, have a high pettability factor.
Not that I'm going to pet them of course.
