About ‘Stone Town, Zanzibar’ by Lisette van Leeuwen
Stone Town is the old center of Zanzibar City, the capital of Zanzibar. Until the 19th century it was an important trade center for cloves and Arabic slavetrade. Since 2000, Stone Town is on the Unesco Heritage List.
Today Stone Town is still the busy but bustling center of Zanzibar, where history is still present.
