About ‘Stillness by the Sea’ by Raquel Silva

This painting is a love letter to silence — the kind you only find when you're alone with the ocean. I painted this girl not as a portrait of a specific person, but as a reflection of anyone who has ever needed to pause, breathe, and listen to the waves. Her back turned, knees tucked, hair swept by the wind — she’s fully present, yet entirely unreachable.
I chose a soft, pastel palette to emphasize calmness and warmth, letting the colors blur the line between sea and sky, dream and memory. The oversized hat and loose blouse create a gentle contrast with the vastness around her. It’s not about loneliness — it’s about solitude as sanctuary.
This is a moment of peace. A pause between chapters. A quiet, sun-drenched reminder that sometimes, just being still is enough.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
