About ‘Still life with Japanese Lantern’ by BILAS

A classically lit still life, a fine art in warm tones, photographed at very high resolution in a studio setting.
The subject: A Japanese Lantern that has deteriorated into gauze, photographed in the rising morning light.
In my studio I'm busy creating new artworks on a daily basis, the classical style I used for this work appeals to me enormously.
The classic lighting and look combined with modern techniques help to create a calm but powerful image.
By playing with light I try to bring out the beauty in everyday subjects, something we might pass by in the rush of life.
By pausing at an artwork that touches you, you often realize that life should be about enjoyment, we are all too often swallowed up in our self-created reality.
Art on the wall that speaks to you makes your house a warmer home.
And that is the beauty of art, it touches or intrigues you ........ or not.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
