Still life fresh strawberries. The strawberries are ripe to eat but there are more to come, you can tell by the flowers.
The idea to photograph your strawberries like this came to me when I was inspired by a painting of Andreas Coorte. He is a painter from the 17th century
from Middelburg and was a real still life painter. He often worked out his small and simple still lifes on paper which he then glued to oak wood. He painted his subjects strongly lit on a dark background. I love how the painters of that time used light as Rembrandt could so well. It is even called Rembrandt light now. Please also check out my other photographs. I mostly make still lifes of flowers, vegetables and fruits and try to play with light to get a nice result. This still life would look very nice in a country kitchen.
