Autumn, the season when impermanence manifests itself clearly. The season of warm colours to counter the autumn storms, the rain and chill that still suddenly supplant the summer days. The leaves turn colour and fall into the grass. The fruit, pears, after the tender and hopeful blossoms in spring, are now fully mature, ripe, juicy and warm in colour after the warm days of summer.
