Steam trains in the Harz Mountains, reincarnation of the traditional
For more than 120 years ride the steam trains of the Harz narrow railway network of tracks through large parts of the German Harz Mountains.
On the track of exactly one meter wide transports more than one million passengers per year and that are not only tourists, even locals used several trains daily as a form of public transport.
The Harz Schmalspurbahnen is special because there are today almost exclusively driven by steam traction with the largest and most powerful steam locomotives in the world.
This picture was taken in the winter during a snow shower. Precisely the snow gives this picture a powerful extra dimension.
A photograph for the real steam train enthusiasts.
May I invite you to definitely see my other pictures even steam trains?
Thank you for your time and attention and have fun with your purchase.
Cordial greetings,
