About ‘Statue of Christ’ by Anouschka Hendriks
I photographed this statue of Christ at Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde in Marseilles. It shows Jesus with the thorns crown comforted by a woman (Mary?). It is a monument for the missionaries who have to carry out the faith all over the world. In the background the Mediterranean bathed in sunbeams breaking through the cloud cover.
