This is an old statue in the square André Auguste Gérardin in the town of Sainte-Marie-Oloron in France at the foot of the Pyrenees. The shadow cast by the palm trees in this park on the facades of the building creates an unusual atmosphere. The lower windows are a so-called trompe d'oeil , painted windows in this case. The warm late summer light does the rest.
