St Michael's Mount is a tidal island in the United Kingdom. At low tide it is accessible over land, and at high tide the island is surrounded by water. It is located on the south coast in Cornwall, near the town of Penzance.
On the island there is a castle and a 15th century chapel. The island was bought by Colonel John St Aubyn in 1659 and is still in the possession of the St. Aubyn family. However, the whole is managed by the National Trust. (source Wikipedia)
