Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.
The artwork appears at its true size, so you cannot scale it in AR. Want a different size? Close AR and pick the size on the product page.

About ‘Splashes of colour under the Groningen light’ by Peter Kuipers

Among the vast fields of the Groningen countryside, near the village of Garsthuizen, an unexpected spectacle of colour unfolds every spring. Rows of tulips in red, yellow, pink and purple stretch across the landscape like a living painting. Amid this sea of flowers stands the characteristic mill of Garsthuizen, proud and imperturbable, as a beacon of calm in the colourful scene.

The sky above is threatening - dark grey clouds are gathering, but just at the right moment the sun breaks through briefly. A golden glow streaks across the tulips, making the colours seem even more intense. The windmill casts a long shadow across the field, while the wind gently ripples the petals.

It is a moment of contrast: the power of nature versus the fragility of bloom. And at the same time, it is pure Groningen - raw, quiet, and unexpectedly beautiful.
