"Soft pastel-coloured fragile leaves" is a macro photo of beautiful pale pink and beige-coloured leaves of a plant in Lanzarote. These leaves had fallen off the plant and dried by the sun and have already partially decayed. Because of this, you can see the beautiful vein structure of the petals.
The plant from which these petals come is probably the Bougainvillea. This plant has beautiful beautifully coloured bracts, these petals surround the real flowers. These petals have fallen off the plant with its seeds. Through the leaves, you can still vaguely see the seeds (oblong shadows).
If you zoom in on the photo, you can see that I chose a small depth-of-field when taking this picture, so a small part is in focus and everything in front and behind it gradually fades out. This makes the background quite even in colour and creates depth in the work. This setting also gives a somewhat dreamy atmosphere. The leaves are on a mirrored surface, so you can see the leaves again, upside down, and a bit fainter in the ground surface.
This work could hang beautifully as wall decoration (on aluminium or artframe, for example) in the bedroom, kitchen, dining room, hallway or simply above the sofa in the living room! Also beautiful on the wall in a meeting room or waiting room (business).
