About the artwork
"So empty inside: 2 lanterns with petrol - turquoise background" is a photo of two lantern plant lanterns that are already almost digested. The skeleton of the veins can be seen beautifully as a result. On the turquoise - petrol coloured background (with a gradient from light to dark) you can see the reflection of the lantern. The warm light shining on the lanterns gives the work a warm and cosy chic look. The lanterns look like they are made of gold!
The (for the viewer) right-hand lantern is completely empty inside, the orange berry is gone. On the left lantern, the berry is still present.
The colours remind me of warm vintage colours and autumn: brown (beige, taupe ), gold - coloured, orange and turquoise are the most common colours in the picture.
If you zoom in on the work and look at the golden lanterns, you can see the texture beautifully highlighted in the light.
This work could, for example, hang beautifully as wall decoration in the waiting room, bedroom, hallway or just above the sofa!
