A pine tree all alone in a winter landscape. This photo was taken in Finnish Lapland, 250 kilometers above the polar border. In the east of northern Lapland you have a vast, hilly landscape. Trees hardly grow here, barring a few. The sun rises only for a few hours and stays very low, turning the sky a beautiful color. Looking at this photo, I remember exactly the feeling I had when I stood here and looked at the tree: what a go-getter, this tree!
