Skyline of Dordrecht with Grote Kerk in the evening. Dordrecht is located where the Merwede splits into the North and Old Maas rivers. In the Middle Ages, the city developed as an important trading town and staple port and was one of the six major cities of Holland. Later, the city's importance declined, but its inner city still recalls this rich past. The Grote or Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk church is the largest church in this city. It is a cross basilica in Brabant Gothic style with an unfinished tower. The tower is 65 metres high and is crooked. This is due to the swampy ground. This photo was taken on 14 March 2016.
In mijn foto's zoek ik vaak naar balans en verstilling. Daarnaast heb ik 'less is more' hoog in het vaandel staan: doordringen tot de absolute kern van wat ik wil 'vertellen'. Ik fotografeer als freelancer voor verschillende opdrachtgevers. Vrijwel altijd op locatie en met gegeven omstandigheden.
