A glowing arc of green light stretches across the dark horizon of Abisko. The night is crystal clear, the temperatures are deep below zero and the air is so still that you think you can hear the movement of the stars. This photo captures one of those magical moments when the aurora borealis arcs across the sky in a perfect arc - a shining bridge between the earth and the cosmos. In the midst of Lapland's silent expanse, the light becomes the narrator of an invisible story.
The Aurora Borealis is not just a natural wonder here, but an experience that goes beyond the visible. The green glow flows like a river through the starry sky, caught between the snow and the night. Trees and hills stand out in the foreground - silent, snow-covered, almost reverent under the arc of light. Even faint stars can be recognised - framed by the intense glow.
Abisko is considered one of the best places in the world to observe the Northern Lights. The microclimate ensures an exceptionally high number of clear nights. This photo was taken with a long exposure, which does not freeze the light, but makes its movement visible - soft, breathing, alive.
The landscape format emphasises the expanse and opens up space for stillness. The colour gradients - green, yellowish, almost bluish - look like brushstrokes in the air. The picture is not a spectacle, but an invitation: to tranquillity, to inner expanse, to a connection with the sky.
Ideal as a large-format mural in living rooms, surgeries, hotels or meditation rooms. It not only brings colour, but depth - and lets us forget for a moment where we are standing while we look up.
