The Skólavörðustígur is a street in the centre of the Icelandic capital Reykjavik with on both sides colourfully painted buildings with cafés, restaurants, galleries and shops. The street runs uphill; at the end of the street is the famous Hallgrímskirkja.
This "paintification" is based on a photograph that was exposed to textures and filters until an impressionistic, picturesque look emerged.
My work can be found in the border regions of photography, painting and computer visuals. With my company 3Develop I do work in commission but I use the same techniques, skills and software to make free work.
