In the photo we see opposite the camera a group of six lionesses and their (large) cubs drinking water. The water of the river is rusty brown and some reflection can be seen.
The lions are sitting in a row, one is still walking to the edge and wants to slide in. The others are drinking water and partly looking into the camera.
Behind the lions we see the sandy bank of the river running uphill. The sand is also warm in color. Left behind the lions is also a dark green dense bush.
It is clearly a photo taken in the wild, in a nature reserve and not in the zoo.
I took it in Balule Game Reserve in the Greater Kruger in South Africa, during one of my safari trips.
