The idea for this work arose from a conceptual series of ballet photographs I took years ago and photographs I recently took of sunlight filtering through net curtains in a former coach house in the city of Dordrecht.

My way of working is imbued with passion. Passion for photography, passion for the people I am allowed to photograph, passion for the people I work with and to whom I give courses. I wouldn't be able or willing to do it any other way.
In 2005 I started as an independent photographer. I followed an art and design course at the Royal Academy of Art in Den-Haag.
