Not a sound could be heard during this sunrise. It is therefore windless. Through a small gap between the rocks, you come to this secret pebble beach. It's a paradise spot you wouldn't expect in the port of Vrbnk, Croatia. The village is located on a 48-metre-high rocky outcrop in the Adriatic, on the east coast of the island of Krk.
During our trip through Slovenia and Croatia, we were looking for a nice place to stay on the island of Krk. In the picturesque port of Vrbnik, you can spend the night with your campervan on one of the parking spaces at the edge of the quay. Like you can almost hear the water lapping around the wheels of the motorhome. That morning, I walked up the pier to find a nice spot for sunrise. All the way at the end of the pier, I see a slot between the rocks. Curious, I wriggle through it and find this beautiful enclosed beach at the foot of the cliff on which the village is built.
