About ‘Silence over Geltinger Bay’ by Conny Krakowski

This artwork depicts a tranquil sunset over the water. The sun sits low on the horizon and is reflected as a golden streak of light on the almost mirror-like surface of the water. The sky transitions from warm yellow and orange on the horizon to a cool, deep blue. In the foreground, dark reeds and grasses lie in the shade. They frame the scene without being obtrusive, lending the image a natural depth. The tranquil expanse of this shot is particularly beautiful. The water appears almost still; only fine textures and small reflections betray any movement. In the distance lies a dark coastline, in front of which the bay spreads out like a vast, tranquil expanse. The individual reeds in the foreground seem almost like silent observers on the edge of the evening. This image was inspired by one of those moments on the coast when everything suddenly slows down. No grand spectacle, no dramatic sky, but rather this clear, almost understated beauty that nevertheless captures you. The atmosphere is calm, vast and a little melancholic, but in a pleasant way. This piece brings stillness, depth and a Nordic coastal feel into a room. It is particularly well suited to people who love the sea, sunsets, nature, wide open spaces and understated landscapes.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
